Bengaluru Kannada Vyshya Sangha conducted it’s 47th Annual General Body Meeting on Sunday 23rd July 2017. In commemoration of 10th year of Prathishtapane of Shree Ganapathi Idol at Shri Shankara Sannidhi complex, a special pooja was also arranged.
Veda Vidwan Shri Vinayaka Sharma performed Shri Ganesha Pooja at 10 AM. Pooja program was well attended by members with devotion. After Mahamangalarathi and a small break 47th Annual General Body Meeting started at 11.30 AM.
Veteran member Shri Gajanan M. Shetti  Retired Chief General Manager of Reserve Bank of India presided over the meeting. Office bearers of Bengaluru Kannada Vyshya Sangha and Mytreyi Vanitha Samaja were on the Dias.
Meeting started with Ganesha Sthuthi by Smt Muktha Mohan and Swagatha Geethe by Smt Latha R Hosmane. Bangaluru Kannada Vyshya Sangha president Shri Dinakar R.Shetti in his welcome address highlighted some of the events and decisions are taken by the Sangha during the year. He recollected financial support rendered by some members for different developmental activities. He called upon members, youngsters, in particular, to involve themselves in all the activities of Sangha.He extended a warm welcome to all the members. A minute’s silence was observed in respect of some of the deceased community people at various places.
Hon. Secretary of the Sangha Shri Arun S. Bandikatte read out the gist of the Minutes of the year long Executive committee meetings and presented the Annual Report before the August House and got approval by the members.
Hon. Treasurer Shri V D.Kasbekar read out the Audited Accounts Statements and got the approval of the House
Smt Sumitra M.Kanjan, President of Mytreyi Vanitha Samaja expressed her gratitude towards Bengaluru Kannada Vyshya Sangha for rendering all support in the activities of Mytreyi Vanitha Samaja. She called upon lady members to come forward to shoulder the responsibilities in carrying out Mytreyi Vanitha Samaja forward.
In his presidential address, Shri Gajanan M.Shetti recollected memories ever since he came to Bangalore and his association with Sangha. He lauded the religious, cultural and social activities of Sangha to the community and public at large.He called upon members, Youngsters, in particular, to involve in the development of Sangha.He expressed that he feels young as soon as he enters  Shri Shankara Sannidhi. Mr Gajanan M.Shetti assured his active association with future activities of Sangha.
Some of the achievers and prominent personalities such as Shri Girish Gokarn, Shri Rajesh S.Badgeri, Shri Vidyanand N.Ankolekar, Smt Nayana Sanjeev.Vakil, Shri Jagadeesh S.Shetti, Smt Mangala Nagarkatte addressed the gathering expressing their happiness the way in which Bengaluru Kannada Vyshya Sangha is functioning and they are motivated by the activities of seniors. They reiterated that youngsters to involve more in the activities of Sangha. Each one of them emphasized that Youngsters come up in life by acquiring knowledge of latest global technological innovations and developments.
Meeting concluded with Vote of thanks by Shri Manjunath P.Shetti Vice President of the Sangha. Meeting proceedings were compered by Shri M P.Shetti.
After a Beautiful lunch and short break, members chanted ” Dakshinamurthy Shlokha”, “Soundarya Lahari” and “Guru Saparya” as per directives of Shree Shree Shringeri Jagadgurus of Shree Shringeri Sharada Peetha. With this day’s activities came to an end.
